At least over 5,000 students have received a scholarship for the semester 2025/2026, a marked increase in interest in the university.

Speaking at the conference, the University Chairman, Professor Yahaya Isa Bunkure, congratulated the new students and emphasized the importance of education, good behavior and the principles of the university. It is clear that getting a study is a great achievement that requires persistence and determination in education.

He also called on students to avoid bad habits such as drug addiction, robbery, and engaging in unappropriate groups, with the requirement to attend classes at least 75 percent.

It also indicates that the University continues to improve the use of modern technology such as ICT, e-learning and the development of effective buildings to improve learning and research.

In his speech, the former head of Bayaro University in Kano Professor Sagir Adamu Abbas advised students to focus on their studies and show discipline in all aspects of university life.

The ceremony was held in Zaria with the attendance of senior university and guests from different parts of Northern Nigeria
